We want everyone to have a positive experience!
Thank you so much for helping our choir!
We could not do it without you!
Chaperones should not yell at students for any reason. It is your job to be an example of mature behavior.
STUDENTS WILL BE INSTRUCTED TO SHOW RESPECT TO ALL ADULTS REGARDLESS OF HOW THEY PERCEIVE THE SITUATION.
If the students are acting immature, however, do not hesitate to tell them to knock it off and calm down.

The chaperones' main responsibility is to ensure the safety of the students while on the trip. It is also our goal to provide a friendly helpful environment to help our students prepare themselves for the competitions that we attend. At the competitions we should help the students get ready to perform and be on the lookout for any student that becomes ill, gets injured, or needs help with some problem.
Mr. Ellerston will do everything possible to ensure that the chaperones are not put in a position where they are forced to yell or have an emotional confrontation. It is very important that the students do not have to deal with an emotional issue right before our performances. We are there to help the choir get mentally and physically ready to perform. We must all keep in mind what we are here to do. Support our kids.

Departing with Bus
Take attendance and make sure that there are only two students per seat. Review the bus rules for your own benefit. Mr. Ellerston will discuss the bus rules and behavior that is expected from each student on the bus and at the competition.
Two chaperones should sit in the very back of the bus. If there are 3 or 4 chaperones, two can sit in the front. Please don’t sleep on the bus unless every one of the students is sleeping also. We want the bus driver to only have to worry about driving. When we arrive at the performance site or mall or wherever we are going, the chaperones should inform the students of the time they need to be dressed or back on the bus if we are at the mall or eating. We are having the boys sit on one side and the girls on the other or if
there are more of one sex, two girls in a seat and two boys in a seat. This is Mr. Ellerston's decision and if anyone has a problem with it, tell them to talk to him. Get some trash bags before we leave home.
